Words That Matter
Hello all, I had the pleasure of seeing the production of “Love Me Like A Rose”, which was based on the awareness of domestic violence (intimate partner violence). I enjoyed the production in its entirety, but the main part that stood out to me was the message in between or after each scene. It is important to know the factors of getting help in a situation like the one presented and knowing the signs of domestic violence. It is important to break generational curses that surround our society. I believe productions like Love Me Like A Rose, are especially necessary for those who haven’t experience DV; you have the upper hand to foresee what survivors didn’t. It may not be you, but it may be someone close to you. Great production!
I enjoyed the play! Very impactful. Great performance!
This is what I have been believing and praying to God for that God would raise up Strong Leaders in the Kingdom of God that will Invade every kingdom including the Entertainment Kingdom and bring it back underneath Jesus Governmental Rule and put out a model that represents Jesus Christ our Lord the right way and Help people Get Free from the Darkness that’s in there Lives and the Entertainment Industry. Not only is Minister Lionel and LJN Production doing just that, but also making an awareness of Present-Day Life Issues such as Domestic Violence and Abuse and Helping people Get Free from the Grip of Satan and to have an Encounter with the Holy Ghost and Jesus Christ our Lord to bring deliverance, Healing, and Restoration to People’s Lives. In Jesus Mighty Name Amen!!!!! I Loved and Enjoyed the Play. To God Be The Glory In Jesus Mighty Name Amen!!!!!
This was an excellent play with an impactful message catered to all audiences. I enjoyed every scene and was very happy that I went to see it. Because I have not been around people who suffered domestic violence in my immediate "circle" this play has helped me tremendously to have a greater awareness for those that have. Kudos to Director Nelson and his team for an excellent production. I look forward to the next one.
I enjoyed this play very much. It deals with a social problem that needs to be addressed, and the play succeeded in doing it. The National Statistics on Domestic Violence states that nearly 20 people per minute are physically abused by an intimate partner in the United States. More people need to see this play which brings to light this domestic issue, which hopefully will be able to help some who might need to see there is a way out.
How can I begin talking about the amazing experience I had watching this outstanding stage production. From the beginning to the end, this production captivated my attention. At times I felt like getting out of my seat to go on stage, and assist ROSE. Mr. Lionel Nelson and the production team did an AMAZING JOB. This is a stage play, I would travel near and far to be apart of the audience again, and again. BLESSINGS AND PEACE TO ALL...

Yesterday evening I had the pleasure to see the play “Love Me Like a Rose”... My mother’s classmate Actress Kerrie Hopkins-Hodges played Cora, Rose’s Mother. Rose was being Physically, Emotionally, & Verbally abused by her husband. The play was well written and extremely performed well. Several of us were so engulfed in the storyline until tears rolled down our cheeks and screams came from our mouths.
I wasn’t expecting to see such violence played out like that. It was all so real to me. The gun scene took me out and opened up old wounds. I was once “Rose” ... I saw my life being played out right before my eyes... I won’t go into every detail but I left there Physically drained... All I could do was say “JESUS” I thank you when Rose Husband shot and killed her. I was blessed to still be here today. Some Women DO NOT MAKE IT OUT.
PHENOMENAL PLAY....It should have been a PACKED HOUSE ON BOTH NIGHTS. If ONLY the churches in our Community came to SUPPORT it would have been and should have been a SOLD OUT EVENT.
We have to learn to support individuals at the beginning of their careers. It was just as good or even better as a Tyler Perry Production
Awesome Job LJN Productions & Ms. Regina... I’m looking forward to seeing what you both have in store for us in the future.
